API integration in Preston.
When two systems have no ready-made connector, we build one. Custom API integrations, tested and monitored, between your software and the services you rely on.
When you need API integration
Connectors from tools like Zapier or built-in integrations cover many needs. They stop working when you need something specific: a particular field mapping, a high volume of data, two-way sync, or a system that has an API but no off-the-shelf connector.
- Sending data between your own software and a third-party service
- Two-way sync between a CRM and an accounting or operations system
- Pulling data from a supplier, partner or marketplace
- Webhooks that trigger actions the moment something happens
- Replacing fragile, manual exports and imports
How we build them
We read the API documentation, map your data and build the integration with proper error handling: retries, logging and alerts. We test with real records and agree what happens when something goes wrong, such as a service being down.
The tools we use daily include GoHighLevel, Xero, Stripe, Microsoft Graph, Notion and many others, so we are rarely starting from a blank page.
Maintained, not abandoned
APIs change. An integration nobody looks after will eventually stop. We can monitor and maintain what we build, so a change on the other side does not become a surprise outage on yours.
For the bigger picture, see systems integration.
Questions we get asked
What is an API?
It is how one piece of software talks to another, in a structured way. An integration uses it to share data automatically.
Can you integrate with a system that has no API?
Sometimes, with other approaches, but it is more fragile. We will explain the options and risks.
Who owns the integration code?
We agree this up front in writing.
How long does it take?
Simple integrations can be quick. Larger ones go in a proposal with a timeframe.
